If you die from carbon monoxide would it touch similar to you're drowning/suffocating?

Or other stuff like departure the car on surrounded by the garage and sitting in it or stuff where on earth you die from not having oxygen but it's not similar to normal not have air. not drowning and suffocating.you will be aware of drowsy and come to a never ending sleep.
CO, binds to the haemogloin surrounded by blood which is responsible for carry oxygen throughout the body.
CO have higher affinity to Haemoglobin than O2, so it binds faster and blocks the binding of O2. its resembling someones smothering you but u cant feel it.

You die of suffocation, but you pass out first, not sensation a damn thing. The gas cause you to lose consciousness long before you in reality die.
