In Texas, what does the designation, "Therapeutic Optometrist" tight?

Does this have more prominence on medical than optical practice? How would this Dr's practice differ from a general O.D. or a behavioral optometrist? Most optometrists are presently therapeutic optometrists, although some elder O.D.s may not have taken the extra classes to receive this designation when the clean law be passed several years ago. Therapeutic means that the O.D. can prescribe medication for treating ocular conditions. Every hot O.D. graduates from optometry institution with the training mandatory to become a therapeutic O.D.
