In 1957 who for the first time succeeded within transplanting or graft of bone marrow?

May be a french scientist. MAYBE In 1957, ED Thomas gave bone marrow intraveneously. See the bone marrow overview at http://www.washington.edu/research/pathb.
A Nature report on classic articles, http://www.spirit.com/ni/focus/hemato_st. calls this "A successful first attempt at bone marrow transplantation surrounded by humans for the treatment of a hematological malignancy."
Thomas published his work in:
Intravenous infusion of bone marrow within patients receiving radiation and chemotherapy.

N. Engl. J. Med. 257, 491—496 (1957)
Bone marrow transplantation (BMT) or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is a medical procedure surrounded by the field of hematology and oncology that involves transplantation of hematopoietic stem cell (HSC). It is most often perform for people beside diseases of the blood or bone marrow, or certain types of cancer. Bone marrow transplantation be pioneered at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in the 1960s and 1970s by E. Donnall Thomas, whose work be later identified with a Nobel Prize contained by Physiology and Medicine. Dr. Thomas' work showed that bone marrow cells infused intravenously could repopulate the bone marrow and produce alien blood cells. His work also reduced the odds of developing a life-threatening complication called Graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). However it remains a risky procedure and it is reserved for patients near life threatening diseases.
